🔸 Château du Cèdre — Cahors, the pursuit of 🔸 Château du Cèdre — Cahors, the pursuit of Malbec excellence 🔸
In Cahors, Château du Cèdre tells a family story shaped by patience, conviction, and deep respect for nature.
It all began in the late 1950s, when Charles Verhaeghe, of Flemish origin, planted his first Malbec vines on limestone scree soils, near a field of lavender. A passionate self-taught winegrower, he learned the craft step by step, firmly believing in the potential of these demanding terroirs.
In 1987, his sons Pascal and Jean-Marc took over the estate. Early on, they chose organic viticulture, driven by both conviction and necessity. Chemical weed control was abandoned as early as 1992, leading to organic certification in 2012.
Today, a new generation is at the helm of the estate. Jules Verhaeghe continues this quest for precision and balance, with Aurore Del Vitto, who oversees commercial development and estate management, by his side.

🌱 An exceptional terroir
Two distinct soil identities shape the wines:
 • Le tran, a limestone scree terroir brings finesse and energy
 • Pebbly, iron-rich sandy soils add depth and structure
🍷 Straightforward, precise wines
The Malbec grapes (which make up the majority of grapes on the estate) are harvested at perfect ripeness and then undergo meticulous vinification and ageing.

From Extra Libre to the flagship GC and Charly cuvées, via L’Improbable, each wine offers a contemporary, precise expression of Cahors wine.

🔁 A committed signature carried by three generations — making Château du Cèdre a historic and natural partner of Accents & Terroirs.

Florent Collet – Vigneron “Between rigour and Florent Collet – Vigneron
“Between rigour and pleasure, he chooses both.”
 — a line that captures him perfectly, by Nicolas Stromboni

Florent, can you introduce yourself?
I grew up surrounded by grapes, tanks and vines. The terroir has always been my playground.
After studying marketing, I felt a strong need to return to something more tangible and alive. I trained in oenology at the CFPPA in Avize before joining the family estate.
For many years, the estate worked as a cooperative. In 2014, we became fully independent.
The conversion to organic farming began in 2020, with our first certified organic harvest in 2023.
Today, we farm 6 hectares, divided into 17 individual plots, on the distinctive terroir of Fontaine-Denis, in the Côte de Sézanne appellation. I see this vineyard as a terroir to be carefully cultivated, almost gardened.
In the cellar, I like to say that we “cook the terroir”: gentle vinifications in oak barrels and foudres, plot by plot, followed by precise blending. Each cuvée is designed to find its place at the right moment — as a moment of sharing or celebration.
With my brother Thomas, we work in a true yin & yang balance. A life project built as brothers, where key decisions are always made together, both in the vineyard and in the cellar.

What defines a good wine for you?
A wine that naturally fits the moment it was created for.

🍾 Your signature cuvée?
 👉 Pierre Noire, without hesitation.
A true flagship cuvée: low dosage, Chardonnay-driven, 40 months of ageing, with no artifice. A “4x4” champagne — enjoyable today, yet built for ageing.

🍇 Vintage 2025?
A sunny, generous vintage with remarkable balance. Probably the vintage of the decade, a direct reflection of our vineyard choices and our commitment to organic farming.

🤝 And your relationship with Accents & Terroirs?
We met in 2022. Today, ours is a structured and balanced partnership, built on a shared vision.

🔎 Accents & Terroirs – Kicking Off Our 2026 C 🔎 Accents & Terroirs – Kicking Off Our 2026 Commercial Reviews
As the holiday season reaches its peak, our team has officially launched the annual commercial review meetings with our partner estates — a key moment in setting the foundations for the year ahead.
We began last week in Bergerac, and continue this week in Cahors, alternating between on-site sessions and video conferences. These meetings allow us to take a deep dive into market performance, refine positioning, review volumes, and align export strategies with each producer’s vision.

This shared work is essential to anticipate demand, strengthen our collective roadmap, and ensure consistency across all markets for 2026.

A structured, collaborative approach — designed to support our growers and deliver clarity and reliability to our international clients.

🔸 Famille Collet – Champagne – Winegrowers 🔸 Famille Collet – Champagne – Winegrowers & Explorers 🔸
Between the Seine river, chalky plains and centuries-old oak forests, the Collet family has been preserving its winemaking savoir-faire for nine generations.
Today, the estate covers 6.5 hectares where old Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines reveal the finesse of a unique terroir blending white chalk and flint-rich brown soils.

🌱 A committed approach to viticulture
Certified organic, the estate champions biodiversity: herbal teas, natural treatments, reintroduction of hedgerows…
A respectful philosophy that strengthens soil balance and vine vitality.

🍾 A signature shaped by barrel ageing
Most wines are vinified in 300L oak barrels, while the reserve wines rest in large oak casks.
This distinctive touch gives birth to structured, radiant Champagnes deeply rooted in their terroir.

✨ A few emblematic cuvées:
• Pierre Noire – tension, purity, and mineral energy
• Coutinaux 2016 – a vintage of depth, precision, and character
• Wellington 2019 – a refined, complex Champagne with true elegance

🔁 A family-run, artisanal domaine with a strong identity and a deep respect for its terroir — everything that makes Domaine Collet a natural partner for Accents & Terroirs.

📦 Available for export — shipped directly from the estate via Accents & Terroirs.
